Our Goal as the National Rite of Passage Council

We are imagining a day when it is normal for pastors to invite the parents of 12- and 13-year-olds into a journey together through a rigorous rite of passage journey. We are calling dads into engagement with their children and inviting others to stand in the gap for the fatherless. By creating a heart connection between the father and their children and connecting them to others across generational lines in their church, we can significantly impact the child’s relationship with their earthly and heavenly father. This will serve to reverse the trend of children leaving the church and their faith having never encountered the foundations of the Christian faith or intersected with those across generations, countries, history and ethnicities.

We equip dads to experience the message of the Bible in an approachable, engaging, and transformative way with their children. We do this by tapping into the desire of church going dads to have a great relationship with their adult children and those children to have a great relationship with Jesus. Rather than speaking for a specific tradition or denomination, the AION Path aims to make the Bible accessible to everyone seeking to prepare their children for a successful launch into spiritual, physical and emotional adulthood.

Our resources are used by various cultural, religious, and denominational traditions who share a desire to learn more about the Bible.

Our Beliefs

The National Rite of Passage board, and directors hold to the historic orthodox Christian confession that God is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, and Jesus came to rescue humanity by living and dying for the world’s sins, and was raised on our behalf. We believe that the Scriptures are an authoritative divine and human word that give us wisdom about the salvation that comes through faith in Jesus.

Why the Bison?

Unlike other herd animals like horses or cows, bison face storms and walk into them.
By moving towards the storm they transform adversity into opportunity and inspire us by facing fears directly.
